We were saddened when we read about the loss of Mr. Sims in the newspaper. I first met SGM Sims in 1972 when I transferred to the Army Reserve from Active Army, over the years gave me good
advice about military issues. His advice
was very helpful. He will be missed by many people.

I got to know the Sims family in the 70's when visiting my Godparents the Watkins. I later worked with Mr. Sims at the 80th Division in Richmond. My prayers and thoughts are with the family. May you walk with God on this uncharted journey of grief and, in due season, He will replace your tears with smiles and your grief with heartfelt memories.
