ILSE EUDAILEY Obituary
Mrs. Eudailey was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, and a retired stock room manager with AAFES at Fort Lee.
She is survived by her daughter, Monika Eudailey of Chesterfield; her son, Ralph C. "Chris" Eudailey and wife, Karen of Chesterfield; two granddaughters, Jennifer N. Kroon and husband, Matthew of Clarksville, Tenn., and Brooke E. Honaker and husband, Alan of Chesterfield; three sisters, Waltraud Bender and husband, Hans, Christa Schaefer and husband, Horst, and Monika Wiegand, all of Germany; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Scott Price officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 19600 Halloway Ave., S. Chesterfield, VA 23803 or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.

Dear Monika, dear Chris, dear Karen and Family,
We are still unable to properly comprehend that my dear sister and dear sister-in-law Ilse has left us forever so fast. She will live in our hearts forever and we will treasure the happy moments that we have shared with Ilse and all of you, our Dear Ones, here in Germany and also in America. We are looking back to countless wonderful hours.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time of farewell and we pray for my dear unforgotten sister Ilse. Her sufferings were too severe.

Moni and Chris, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother passing. You both are in our prayers and are so special to Gail and me. Your Mother and Father was always there for and keep a close eye on our mother Ruth Vaughan for so many years. Thank you for sharing your mother and we will surly miss her!!

Moni, I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Both of your parents epitomized the Christian life. You and your parents' visits to my Mother meant more to her than you will ever know. You and they were her connection to her beloved church. Every year she looked forward to and so enjoyed the "homemade" fruitcake that your Mom made and brought to her along with news from church.. I am confident that God welcomed his good and faithful servants, Ilsa and Pete, into his Kingdom where they now dwell in His love and peace forever.

we can't tell how sad we are, that your Mom, Mother in Law, Granny and our dearest Aunt Ilse passt away so very close after Uncle Pete.
We'll never forget the wonderful times we have shared together in the U.S.A. and also in Germany.
She was a wonderful person, as wonderful as Uncle Pete was.

Losing someone special is a terrible thing to bear. It's the kind of shock for wich we simply never can prepare. One moment we are smiling, and the next is filled with tears, and losing one we love dosen't get easier with years. But please remember you have friends also in Germany, too, to help and ease your way who share your loss and care for you, far more than words can say.
Aunt Ilse will always have a very special place in our hearts.

dear Brooke & Alan,
Words can't tell how sad I am that your Mom, Mother-in-Law, Granny and of course my Ilse-Goti passed away just one year after Uncle Pete.
Nevertheless I am thankful that she didn't have to suffer so long and we should not forget that beyond her disease it was a life well lived filled with lots of happy moments.
Ilse-Goti has found the love of her life in America and they were married for so many years; they got you, their children and grandchildren they were so proud of. Surely, both are united again now.
I will never forget the wonderful times we have shared together and I will cherish the fond memories of my visits to my Godparents. Ilse-Goti will always live in my heart.
There is a poem (in fact even a song in our songbook at church) of Dietrich Bonhoeffer called "By loving Forces" that I like a lot and I hope it will also comfort you in this time of sorrow:
"By loving Forces wonderfully sheltered, we are awaiting fearlessly what comes.
God is with us at dusk and in the morning and most assuredly on ev'ry day."
You know, I am pretty sure that we have another Guardian Angel in heaven now who is watching over us.
My heart goes out to all of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
