Wake service from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the funeral establishment.
Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
The family will assemble at 10 a.m. at 1721 S. Halcum Drive, Petersburg, the day of the services, and may be contacted by calling 804-732-1886.

and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around him

With tearful eyes we watched him
and saw him pass away
and although we love him dearly
we could not make him stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us

Sorry to hear of your husband passing. It is comforting to know he's home with the Lord. We missed him coming to the morning services, always with a small on his face. May you find peace in the Lord in the days to come. Lots of hugs.

I met Mr. Ward as a client, but grew to know him as a friend. I will certainly miss him coming into the office. He was a kind and gentle person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May God's love surround you at this difficult time.
