Jerome Frederick "Jerry" Blank, 82, of Millstadt, Ill., born in Pulicifer, Wis., passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Columbia Nursing and Rehabilitation in Columbia, Ill.

Jerry served in the United State Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service he worked at the Shawano Papermill as a millwright/engineer for 37 years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Rae Blank, who died in infancy; his parents, Robert and Arline, nee Engel, Blank; a brother, Melvin Blank; and a brother-in-law, Glen Schauder.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Norma Ann, nee Redmann, Blank, whom he married on Oct. 16, 1954, in Clintonville, Wis.; his daughters, Julie Ann Blank of Monteray, Calif., and Janel Lynn (Steven) Gualdoni of Millstadt, Ill.; his sisters, Harriet Schauder and Betty (Robert) Nemetz, both of Shawano, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Alice Blank of Shawano, Wis.; and two grandchildren, Anna Martha Gualdoni and Mario Gualdoni both of Millstadt, Ill.; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Millstadt, Ill.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Showano, Wis.
