1983 - 2020

Ms. Jessie Raye Alexander Nelms, 37, left us suddenly to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved "Nanny" Maryann Gregory and nephew, Craig Lipford; both of whom she will be embraced by in heaven.
She is survived by her mother, Regina Talley; father, Richard "Lilbit" Talley; stepmother, Tina Moore Talley; son, James Eades; fiancé, Scott Nelms; brother, Ricky Alexander; four sisters, Sandy Gregory, Shannon Jamison, Amanda Moore and Chrissy Moore; previous spouse, friend, and father of her child, Shane Eades; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jessie was known as a beautiful, vibrant friend to many, and enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, spending time with friends, sunflowers, and Marilyn Monroe. She spent much of her time caring for others, and planned to become a CNA. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Pastor Jonathan Cain, eulogist.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that monetary donations be made sent and made payable to Richard Talley. The donations will be used to set-up an educational trust for James Eades, Jessie's surviving 13 year old son.
