John Narrow Obituary

Graveside Funeral Services for John Narrow, a 76-year-old Buffalo, Wyoming, man who passed away April 4, 2017 at the Sheridan Manor, in Sheridan, Wyoming, will be held Thursday, April 13 at 10 a.m. in Willow Grove Cemetery with the Pastor William Dunlap officiating and the VFW and American Legion in charge of Military Graveside Rites. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Donations in Mr. Narrow's memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center or Meals on Wheels in care of the Harness Funeral Home, 351 N. Adams, Buffalo, Wyoming. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com
John Frederick Narrow was born on Nov. 28, 1940 in New Haven, Connecticut to Frederick and Margaret Narrow. He grew up and went to school in New Haven and graduated from New Haven High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Navy in August of 1958 at the age of 17 and served as a Yeoman at the U. S. Naval Base in Norfolk, Virginia. He was married in May 1963 in Norfolk to Lynette Carter and they made their home in Norfolk. After an honorable discharge in 1964 John took a job with Beneficial Finance Company where he worked for 10 years. Following a divorce John worked for Gunlagh Plumbing. John moved to North Dakota for a few years before moving to New Mexico. He later moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he worked as an internet service call responder. After a few years he moved to the Veteran's Home of Wyoming in Buffalo where he lived for three years. After moving out of the Veteran's Home he continued living in Buffalo until he became a resident at the Sheridan Manor where he lived until his death.
In high school John was an athlete and played basketball and football. His favorite hobby was watching NASCAR Racing.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Narrow of Charles County, Virginia, Douglas Narrow of Colonial Heights, Virginia and Gregory Narrow of Prince George, Virginia; two half-brothers; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four half-sisters.
