Justin LeBlanc Obituary
On Friday, July 2, 2021, Justin David LeBlanc, was called home at the age of 46 surrounded by his family after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Justin was a devoted husband to Sandra Kruse LeBlanc, father to Justin David LeBlanc Jr. (Sierra Sheedy), stepfather to J. Forrest Fulp, III and two faithful dogs Josie and Trixie. He was the loving son of Ronald G. LeBlanc and Judith M. Mundy. He is survived by sisters Tracy (Wes) Downard and Sara Woods (Kyle Hedge) , nephews Matthew and Luke Downard, uncles Louis A. "Lou" LeBlanc, Norman J. "Jim" LeBlanc, and aunt Patricia D. Field. Gained in their marriage in-laws Stephen and Cathy Kruse, Tiffany (Cory) Turner, Michael (Jackie) Kruse and numerous nieces and nephews. Justin was a proud veteran who served 20 years in the United Stated Navy as a MMI (SW) on the decommissioning cruise of the USS America, commissioning cruise of the USS Bataan, USS Iwo Jima, USS Roosevelt, and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was awarded five Navy and Marine Corp achievement medals, a joint services achievement medal and other numerous awards and achievements. After his military service, he was a member of the hydraulic team and a maintenance planner at Gerdau Ameristeel. Justin was a man of many talents and had an unfailing desire to please those he loved. He had an infectious smile, was a natural born leader and mentor, and had a passion for any tasks assigned to him. He was an enthusiastic fisherman who spent many years traveling in search of the perfect catch. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Va 23834. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002. Memorial contributions can be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center.
