Lawrence Burroughs Obituary
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Grace Burroughs; and grandmother, Grace Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Burroughs; sister, Joan (Tom) Patrick; niece, April (Cliff) Lawson; nephew, Matthew Patrick; great nephews, Andrew Thomas Patrick and Shane Allen Lawson.
A retired electronics technician, Mr. Burroughs graduated from Petersburg High School in 1970, where he was active in the band. Music and computers were his favorite pastimes. He was also an avid bowler.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. Sixth Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860. A graveside service will be held at Southlawn Cemetery on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. Interment at will be at the same location.

You are loved by so many people Larry. I cannot believe you are gone. I will miss our conversations, our FB connection and emails. Walnut Hill will never be the same without you there. Thanks for all the wonderful memories from the past. I will cherish them forever.
