MARILYN B. WILLIAMS

Marilyn Belcher Williams "Patti", age 70 years old passed away on December 11, 2020 after a long battle with Cancer. She is preceded in death by her father Robert (Bookie) Williams. She is survived by her mother Margaret Belcher; fiancee Tommy Edwards, son Andy Williams, grandsons Drew Williams & (Ashley Read), James Williams; great grandson Prestin Tyler Williams; brother, Robert W. Belcher & (Julie); nephews, Mark & Adams Belcher; niece, Sonnet Williams; and loyal canine companion "Lucas;" best friends, Sharon Durham and Doris Pritchett; numerous cousins; and a special uncle. She held many purchasing manager positions at American Tobacco, Virginia Linen Searvice and retired from Hercules in 2011. She returned to work part time at First United Methodst Church in Hopewell, VA. She served on the planning commission and the board of zoning appeals in Colonial Heights. She was an advocate for RA, very active in fund raising and raising awareness of RA. Patti graduated from Dinwiddie High School, she attended St. Leo College. She was married to Larry Williams for 35 years. Pattie had a love of travel and took many cruises, and international trips. Italy was her favorite. There will be a memorial for Patti on Monday, December 21 at 3pm at First United Church located 502 W. Broadway St. Hopewell VA. Due to corona virus restrictions, masks or face coverings must be worn and seating is limited to a first come first seated basis. In lieu of flowers. Donations to the church are requested as Patti loved her church.
