I worked with Nelson at ICI in Hopewell when he was a security guard I had the utmost respect for him and his time that he spent in the military which I always thanked him for he was a man of very few words at work with the exception of I know for a fact he loved his family I would like to wish my condolences to all of you

Goodbye for now Uncle Nelson.
Thank you for so many memories in my lifetime. Sheila & I always speak fondly and with much laughter of you and our family restaurant meal together in Dothan 20 years ago!
I will always remember the time we visited together in Raleigh and had cold beers and you told me of some of your time in the service. We talked for hours that evening and
I never forgot that time. It was the one time I had to really enjoy you to myself.
You are missed.

To the Speights Family, our heart goes out to you all. Mr. Speights was a nice, very wise man, and father figure to all of us that knew him as we grew up in the neighborhood. He was well respected in the Village of Ettrick. He will surely be missed. To be absent from the body, is to be with the lord. May God continue to keep you and the Speights Family.
