ORA L. MONROE

Ms. Ora Lee Monroe of Lucy Corr Blvd., Chesterfield, Va., formerly of Columbus, OH, entered peacefully into eternal rest on January 1, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Elisha and Melsenia Monroe

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Earl Monroe; and her sisters, Ethel L. Flute and Rosa L. Monroe.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Marvin T. McKenzie; daughter, Tracey Jackson; grandchildren, MiKhail, Trinity, Eden, Jordan, and Eddie; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Ora Lee Monroe will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God in Christ, 233 Halifax Street, Petersburg, Va., with Rev. Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr., officiating. Interment to directly follow at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Va.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment and at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

The family is asking friends to assemble at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God in Christ, 233 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA, 23803, at 10:45 a.m. on the day of the service.
