Mr. Reuben "Edward" Baskerville, 66, of 25715 Greensville Ave., West Petersburg, Virginia, went home to Glory on Friday, December 12, 2014, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia.

Edward was born February 29, 1948, to the late George and Irene Baskerville. He was also preceded in death by two nieces, Florene and Diane; two brothers-in-law, Calvin Hinton, Sr., and Harold Harris; one sister-in-law, Mary Baskerville; and one uncle, Lewis Evans Sr.

Reuben attended school in Chesterfield County and worked at Colonial Heights High School for 18 years as a janitor. He was a member of High Street Church of Christ, Petersburg, Virginia. He enjoyed watching TV, walking to BP Store and eating at McDonald's. He will be missed dearly.

Reuben is survived by three loving and devoted sisters, Dorothy Harris, Ruby Hinton and Carrie Alexander (David), all of West Petersburg, Va.; three loving and devoted brothers, Floyd Baskerville (Sallie), Arthur Baskerville, both of West Petersburg and George Baskerville Jr., of Richmond, Va.; two aunts, Rosalee Savage of New York and Elnora Evans of Petersburg, Va.; several loving and devoted nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and among them The Smith Family, The Harrison Family, The Parnells family, The Bonner family, The Roger family and all of West Petersburg Community.

Funeral services for Reuben "Edward" Baskerville will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 234 North South St., Petersburg, Va., with Brother Phillip Jones Sr., officiating . The interment will be in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Petersburg, Va. Mr. Reuben E. Baskerville will lie in state from 9:45 a.m. until the hour of service.

There will be a public viewing on Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, December 19, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, Va. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence, 25715 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, Va., and is asking relatives and friends to assemble there at 9:45 a.m. on the day of the service.
