Robert Allen Obituary
"Robert Lee" did just that and on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, the Lord said, "Well done thy faithful son, now rest."
Robert Lee was an employee with Schenker Logistics Inc. of Chester. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and he loved his family. Robert Lee will always be remembered for his calm spirit and way about him and was loved by all who know him.
Robert Lee was predeceased in death by his father, Raymond Allen Sr.; and his grandmother, Marie Daily.
Robert Lee leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted wife of 24 years (together 29), Mrs. Paulette Jones Allen of Dinwiddie; two wonderful children whom were the epitome of his life, Ranishia Lavette Lee Allen and Robert Lee Allen Jr. (RJ); stepmother, Thelma Allen of Dinwiddie; 11 loving siblings, Raymond Allen Jr. (Audrey), Timothy Allen (Tracey) and Ricky Allen (Paula), all of Dinwiddie, Cynthia Battle (David) of Greensboro, N.C., Barbara Ann Baker, Charles Allen, James Allen, Kenny Allen, Lisa Allen, Maurice Allen and Michelle Moore (Kenny), all of Petersburg; seven sisters-in-law, Vanessa Clanton (Glenn) of Carson, Darlene Gibbs (Dallas) of Colonial Heights, Cassandra Jones (whom was like a mother-in-law), Gwendolyn Jones, Brenda Battle, Paula Jones, and Bernadette Jones, all of Petersburg; one brother-in-law, Reginald "Jack" Jones of Petersburg; five aunts, Catherine Jones and Marion Jones, both of Petersburg, Willie Ann Tucker, Martha Coleman and Thomasine Mason, all of Dinwiddie; one uncle, James Daily of Petersburg; devoted nieces and nephews, Shanta Allen, Donnell Allen and Shawn Allen; devoted friends, Saint Wilkerson, David Battle and Jerry Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Mr. Robert L. Allen will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Sharon Baptist Church, 26804 Fort Emory Road, Petersburg, the Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Anderson, pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble 3:30 p.m. at the church. The family will assemble 3 p.m. at 4406 Teal Circle, Petersburg, the day of the services and may be contacted by calling, 804- 861-4804.

Paula... you and your children are in our heart and our prayers. His obiturary was so beautifully written and accurate. Alex and I are still stumped. He was a good friend to us and we enjoyed his company whenever he would come to visit. I truly appreciated how he so loved those chilldren and catered to their every whim. We knew how much you two protected and loved your children so for you to trust them to spend nights with us meant a lot to us and we thank y'all for trusting us. So whatever we could do to help you...let us know.. Take care and remember that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS "GOD IS IN CONTROL".

Words cannot express the sympathy I feel for the loss of such a great man, husband, father, son, brother,nephew, uncle and most of all,friend to so many who loved him. His presence would light up any room with his humble personality and kindness. There was nothing Uncle Robert Lee couldn't do and wouldn't do for anyone. His character spoke for itself.
