Wanda Dates Obituary
She was born in Grandview, W.Va., the daughter of the late Harold L. Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband, William C. Dates; mother, Nelda Johnson; daughter, Jaimie Bennett; granddaughter, Gracie Howard; sisters, Doris Luck and husband, Paul, and Nancy Johnson and husband, Matthew Harrah; nieces, Jessica Robertson, Jennifer Bennett, and Kimberly Starr; two grand-nieces; and a grand-nephew, Cody Bennett.
A memorial celebration of Mrs. Dates' life will be held in the Life Church at 16801 Harrowgate Rd. Chester, Va. 23831 at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Richmond. Condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

Wendy was an incomparable friend, even though years and miles separated us. Her bright spirit has been and will always be with me. I am so lucky to know her. Heaven has been blessed with a joyful soul.
My condolences to Bill and all her family. It was a blessing to be with you on Sunday afternoon and share the sweet (and funny) memories of such a beautiful person.
