Petersburg Virginia - Mr. Willie Archer Brown of 1112 Hilton Place, Petersburg, Virginia went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Saint Mary's Hospital Richmond Virginia.
He was born March 22, 1942 to the late Edna and Willie Brown.
Willie joined Bloomfield Baptist Church, Wilsons, Virginia at an early age and took joy in making Kool-Aid for homecoming for 20 years. He was a member of Club 17 and Pocahontas Lodge #7 for many years. Willie was employed by Firestone and retired after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, John and Milton Brown; and one sister, Patricia Wilkins.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, David Brown (Idelle); one sister, Queen Johnson; and one devoted niece, Angela Taylor, all of Petersburg, Virginia; friends, Steve Rives, Glenn Jones and neighbors; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mr. Willie A. Brown will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, Petersburg, Virginia.
Celebration of Life service for Mr. Willie Brown be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Avenue, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with Rev. Kim White, Pastor of Bloomfield Baptist Church, Wilsons, Virginia, Officiating and Rev. Ronzo Lee, Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Goochland, Virginia, Eulogizing. Interment to follow in the Bloomfield Baptist Church Cemetery, 10608 White Oak Church Road, Wilsons, Virginia 23894.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Queen Johnson, 429 Summit St. Petersburg, Virginia on the day of the service at 1:00p.m.
