BEVERLY ROSE SCHAADT
CECIL, OH - Beverly Rose Schaadt, age 84, of Cecil, formerly Kenton, passed away peacefully Monday, February 3, 2025, at Paulding County Hospital. She was born on September 6, 1940, to the late Raymond A. and Mapha L. (Lamb) Schaadt, in Paulding, OH. Beverly was the typical bossy, yet vivacious, big sister who will be remembered for her steel trap memory and gift of gab. She loved to laugh and always had kind words to say. She had the distinct ability to ask the best questions in conversation. Beverly was often more concerned about others than herself. She was a faithful, God loving woman who was a Godmother to many in the family. When she was younger, she loved to travel around the United States, especially out west to see rodeos and visit historic places. On one of her most memorable trips, she and two of her sisters met Clint Eastwood and some of the crew of Rawhide while staying at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. She also was an avid country music fan and attended music concerts all over from Nashville to Buck Lake Ranch and from Country Concert to Jamboree in the Hills. Some of her most memorable concerts with her mom or sisters were seeing Roy Rogers, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Minnie Pearl, Gene Autry, Billy "Crash" Craddock, and other icons of country music. Beverly chose a career in telecommunications, first working for the Arthur Telephone Company as a switchboard operator and then working her way up to supervisor for the Alltell Telecommunications Company in the Kenton area. She also worked as the dispatcher for the Hardin County Hospital before fully retiring. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie (Mekus) Wilhelm. Beverly leaves behind two sisters, Barbara Hancock, Defiance and Marilyn (Robert) Kunesh, Ney, as well as many nieces and nephews, who knew her simply as "Aunt Bev", Jeffrey (Yvonne Lilly) Mekus, Cheryl Mekus Russell, Terry (Sherry) Wilhelm, John (Lisa) Hancock, Lillian (JR) Armstrong, Lorinda (Jeff) Yoder, James (Jude) Hancock, Lesley (Doug) Krouse, Allen (Jennifer) Kunesh, Bradley (Corrine) Kunesh, Christopher (Katie) Kunesh, many great and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as her special caregiver and companion, Missy (Tom) Ringler. Visitation was Monday, February 10, 2025, from 4-7PM, with a rosary service at 6:30PM, at St. Isidore Catholic Church (Marysdale), 6324 State Route 15, Defiance, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00AM at St. Isidore Catholic Church (Delaware Bend), 16428 Speaker Road, Sherwood, Ohio. Beverly will be laid to rest in Junction St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Auglaize Township at a later date. Family requests that, rather than sending flowers, donations be made to a
charity of your choice. However, if sending flowers, please have them delivered to St. Isidore Catholic Church (Marysdale) between 2-4PM on Monday. For additional information and to view Beverly's online obituary, please visit
