I heard the news just this morning when I was on my way to court. Needless to say, I was quite upset. I've known Al for over 20 years - I've followed him to his different lots! He was always there with a smile and a gentle kindness. You must have been fortunate to have him in your lives. I will certainly miss Al, I cannot begin to comprehend your loss. I hope God gives you all strength and peace.

Dear Pat, Adam and Alex,

No words of mine can mean much now. Your loss is far too great, and much too close. But for our Dominican Community, at Providence College,(many are away and will not know of this)and in my own name, we do want to make known to you, our deepest sympathy. In the praying we are doing, Albert is with us...so are you!

At a time such as this, nothing anyone says makes much sense. (Perhaps better than most I know that.) But it is my hope, that the consoling thought of a gifted Trappist monk might help.

Thomas Merton wrote, death is where the hills end, and the stars begin.

Alberts' "hills" are over now! It's his time to be with the "stars" and their Source. May the deep, inner Peace that thought can induce, be with you and your family...especially now.

May Mary, the temple in whom God's Son became a priest, keep you near, in her care.

With His Love anbd all mine,

I am very very sorry to hear the news about Al.I first met him when I worked at Traveler's Aid and would see him here and there in town with Alex.He always asked me about my family and remembered details about all of my children. He was a kind man that would lend homeless people money without worry that he would be repaid. He is one of those people that you meet in your life that you will never forget.
God Bless you all and may he show you peace at this sad time.

The Barone's are terribly saddened by the loss of our cousin Albert. He was truly a sweet, gentle, kind and caring man, who also had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always smiling and upbeat. He was quick to laugh and joke and always got everyone else laughing, too. His smile and his laugh will remain in our hearts forever. Al was the BEST!
