Celia, Al and Sheri,

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

My dad met Albert when they were 15 years old. He never failed to make my dad smile and laugh; deep belly laughs. He loved to give him a hard time about his ultra suede jackets! I am sure that he is with Louie DeFrenna right now listening to him talk up a storm.

No matter where life took Albert, he never forgot where he came from or the old friends from his boyhood. He treated everyone the same no matter what walk of life a person came from. What a testament to his character.

I hope that in time the memories you share of your husband and dad will bring you peace. Albert will be sorely missed by all of the people whose lives he touched.

In 1971, I was heading in the wrong direction in my life. I had no money for a lawyer to represent me. I needed someone to step-up and help me. My father suggested to call a lawyer from our neighborhood. We met and he said he would help me only if I would help myself. I agreed. He spent countless hours on my case and came to court 13 times without a payment. He also recommended me for a job, from which I supported and raised a family. I always called him Uncle Albert out of respect for what he had done for me in my life, but he was much more than that, he was my Life-Saver.

Celia, Sheri and Albert Jr.

My family prays for God's Holy Spirit to comfort you.

Celia, Albert, and Sheri...I was so sad when my father called this morning with the news. Albert was sort of an idol to me and I thought the world of him. My grandfather always said, "being a lawyer was the best thing you could be..stay in school kid and you could be just like Albert." I know times have changed but I have always credited Albert for my career path. If I am a fraction of the attorney he was then I've done well. God Bless You Cousin, my prayers are with all of you...Karen Lepore Pellicano
