I had previously written in the guest book for Alexa, you so kindly responded to me, but, by mistake I erased your E-mail. I am so sorry I was not able to read it.

I will always cherish my time with Alexa, although it was much too short. We arrived at URI the same year. My heart goes out to her husband Yngve, whom I have known and whom I know loved her dearly.

Alexa was a wonderful scholar and had a passion seldom seen in most. She jubilantly loved life and cared deeply for everyone, regardless. We came to know her through our rug store and she was as passionate about rugs as my late husband David. What she did with her life is a testimonial to being a magnificent person. Truly, God has taken the best ones early. She will be surely missed, God Bless her dear soul.

I had Dr. Alexa for her Intimate Relations course and she sparked a lot of conversations between me and my boyfriend (now husband). She is the most memorable professor I had at URI. I remember meeting Kathryn at her home. My deepest sympathy to your family. May your memories bring you comfort.

My heartfelt sympathy to Alexa's family. Catherine,I took care of you and your Mother when you were born at Women and Infant's Hosp. Alexa was such a down to earth, caring and gentle person, she certainly made an impression on me, I have never forgotten her. May she rest in peace.

Dr. Albert was my Professor of Sociology at The University of Rhode Island. She was a kind, caring, and wonderful person and an inspiration for sure. I am certain that she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of participating in her classes at URI. My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Albert's family during this difficult time.

I remember her fondly from the time I was a grad assistant (and hated it!) in sociology. She shared a couple of events at my home in Wickford. Her gentleness and creative way of seeing life is still with me. She was a truly special person in all ways. I will say a prayer for her and I will be thanking the universe for allowing me to have this experience of friendship(short tho' it was) with this wonderful, kind, intelligent and fun woman. She enriched my life.
She also told me once that I looked good in purple and red (an outfit I had on one day)and that it was "gutsy". I have always combined those colors since that day in 1982. I also adored her dog Bertha. Of course, she would have a dog named Bertha.
