Alice Higgins

HIGGINS, ALICE (OSTROWSKI), 93, of West Shore Road, formerly of Main Street, West Warwick, died Saturday at West View Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Higgins, Sr.

Born in Webster, MA, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Stanislawski) Ostrowski; she had lived in West Warwick most of her life. Mrs. Higgins was a Sales Lady for Shepards, Gladdings, and Maxines.

She was the beloved mother of Edward L. Higgins, Jr. of Warwick and the late Raymond F. Higgins. Caring mother-in-law of Rita F. Higgins and Ann Marie Higgins of South Attleboro. Loving sister of Harold Ostrowski of Milbury, MA and the late Edward Ostrowski, Dr. Francis Ostrowski, Harriet Guinas, and Anna Plante. Cherished grandmother of nine and great grandmother of seven.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 8-9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Spirit and The Word, P.O.
