Alice Kowalik Obituary
SUSANNE (GOULET), RN,
67, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Avalon Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Francis H. Kowalik, Sr.; daughter of the late Jean and Amanda (Lemieux) Goulet.
Mrs. Kowalik was director of nurses at Avalon Nursing Home for 40 years and retired in
2004. She
was a graduate of St.
Charles High School in Providence and Salve Regina University School of Nursing, Class of 1964 in Newport.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Lisa J. Kowalik, Cheryl A. Dauray, Francis H. Kowalik, Jr. and David S. Kowalik; one brother Jean Paul Goulet; seven grandchildren Susanne and John H. Tucker,III, Jordan and Nathan Dauray, Zachary, Candis and David Kowalik, Jr.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement Church, Long Street, Buttonwoods at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Crompton. Visiting hours, Thursday 4-8 pm.
