Ando Suvari

SUVARI, ANDO IVAR M.D., formerly of Wickford and Newport, R.I. Dr. Ando I. Suvari died peacefully at the home of his son, Ando, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Kerry Suvari, in Virginia Beach, VA on March 2, 2012. He was born in Parnu, Estonia on August 17, 1920. After moving to Rhode Island in 1954, he completed specialty training in psychiatry and worked for the Department of Mental Health Services and in private practice until his retirement in 1985. In 2004, the State of Rhode Island honored Dr. Suvari for his many years of state service to the Rhode Island Medical Center by naming the Long Term Care Center in his name. He is survived by his children Agu Suvari MD, Madis Suvari Esq., Mari-Ann Burgoyne, Ando Suvari Jr.,Lt. Col. Sulev Suvari, Yuri Suvari, Mena Suvari, their spouses, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A family service took place in Virginia Beach, VA.
