Ann Macksoud Obituary

Macksoud, Ann S. (Kolb)
86, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Evergreen House Health Center, East Providence. She was the beloved wife for sixty-one years of the late James J. Macksoud. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Chester W. and Mary J. (Sylvia) Kolb.
Ann graduated from the former St. Mary's Academy of the Visitation, Providence, in 1954. She studied Religious Studies at Providence College and also attended Johnson and Wales University where she studied Accounting. Ann was an office assistant for the late Carlyle Macksoud, DMD, in Cumberland for over twenty years. A lifelong parishioner of St. Teresa Church, Ann was the former President of St. Teresa Mother's Club. She served on the Board of Directors at the YMCA of Pawtucket, where she was also a certified swim instructor. An avid reader, Ann had a wonderful sense of style, loved to travel, and was a master gardener. She was an amazing cook who enjoyed entertaining and welcomed everyone into her home. Ann was a superb card player and enjoyed spending her summers in Narragansett and East Matunuck. Her beautiful presence will be greatly missed by everyone.
She is survived by her three loving children, Tracey A. Moline and her husband, Todd, of Rumford, Bradford J. Macksoud and his wife, Susan, of Pawtucket and Adam J. Macksoud and his wife, Mary-Jo, of East Providence; three grandchildren, Kathryn, Benjamin and Lauren Macksoud; two brothers, William Kolb of North Carolina and John Kolb of Ohio and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Evergreen House Health Center and HopeHealth Hospice for their devotion to Mrs. Macksoud's care.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Respectfully, due to the Covid-19 state mandated restrictions, visitation and interment with her late husband in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket, must be private. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be available via livestream for those who are not able to attend. A celebration of Ann's life will be hosted at a later date once restrictions are lifted. Floral arrangements are respectfully omitted. Memorial donations to Evergreen House Health Center, check memo: Activity Fund, 1 Evergreen Dr., East Providence, RI 02914 or to St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02861 would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, Pawtucket. TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com

Adam -

Your mother's life was so full. I did not realize that yo have a significant connection and connection to the YMCA. The loss of a parent is always sad but I am certain that you and your family will always remember her - and the care thatch extended to you and everyone throughout her life. I am certain that you will understand that in seeing her close connection to St. Theresa's Parish, you know that she is being watched over.
