Anna Corvese Obituary

CORVESE, ANNA J. (FUSCO) 91 (93), and her beloved husband Vincent Corvese, were re-united together again on May 6, 2016, passing away peacefully with her daughter by her side. Anna was a daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Melucci) Fusco. She was the devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Lois Hopkins and son-in-law, James Hopkins, Jr., whom she loved like her "son". Anna was the sister of the late Rose Belovitch, Albert and Anthony Fusco. Proud and loving Nana to her grandson, Scott V. Hopkins and Nonnie to great-grandsons Shane and Shawn Hopkins, whom she loved and adored. They always brought a smile to her face. She was born in Cranston, graduated from Cranston High School and was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and member of the St. Mark's Crafters. She also volunteered at the Cranston Senior Center for many years. A great cook and baker, her "gravy" and "wine biscuits" were the best. For the past six years, her home was Heritage Hills Nursing Facility. There she participated in daily activities with the dedicated and loving staff, along with her many friends. She especially loved playing bingo and being a member of the Melodiers Glee Club. The love and support, right up until her passing, that she received from the entire staff, and for the past year, the staff of Beacon Hospice, will never be forgotten. Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 8 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Johnston at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: Heritage Hills Activity Fund, 80 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 and are greatly appreciated. Dear Lois, Jim and Scott,

My deepest sympathies to you all. Your mom will always hold a special place in my heart. I have such wonderful memories growing up of your Mom and Dad. From playing bridge and Pokeno with her, having ice coffee in her famous stainless colored cups, her famous star cookies and biscuits and of course the Easter egg hunts. I also had the pleasure of working alongside of her for a few years.

She always had tremendous faith so I know she is watching over all of you and helping you find the comfort you need. May she rest in peace.

Love, Deb & Joe Santos

Dear Lois, Jim and Family,
I met your mom for the first time years ago.She was one of the first members of SRB parish prayer-line. She adored you as you well know. You watched over her so fervently in these past years. Know that she is watching over you and yours now with great love and joy! Now as she would want, you will have more time to spend with friends and family who love you.
