DELMONICO, ANNA GRACE, 89, of Orchard Meadows Drive, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 in Smithfield. Born in Pettorano sul Gizio, Italy on March 18, 1923, Anna immigrated to Providence with her mother and brother, Adolph, in 1935 to join her father, Giovanni, who had already established residency in Rhode Island. Anna worked at Delmonico Ice Cream and Novelty Company on Valley Street in Providence, a family owned and operated ice cream manufacturer and distributor established in 1947 by Giovanni Delmonico. She and Adolph ran the company together after Giovanni passed away in 1949. Anna was the devoted daughter of the late Giovanni and Carmela (DeSantis) Delmonico; the beloved sister of Gilda Delmonico of Smithfield and the late Adolph Delmonico; the dear sister-in-law of Elizabeth Delmonico of Warwick; the cherished aunt of Joanne Delmonico of Safety Harbor, FL, John Delmonico and his wife Robyn of Wakefield, Deborah Delmonico Pratt of Cranston, and Lisa Ann Delmonico and her husband William Capowski of Nyack, NY; loved great-aunt of Jamie and Shaun Flanagan, Nicholas and Emma Delmonico, and Joshua and Alex Pratt; and honored great-great-aunt of Jac Berg. Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, 8:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Interment will follow in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum of St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
