Anne Gallotta Obituary

GALLOTTA, ANNE (MAGNER), FRANCES
83, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Capital Caring Halquist Center in Arlington, VA. Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of Edward E. Magner, Jr and Anne. She was raised by her Uncle and Aunt, Fred and Ethel Doyle, of Providence, graduating from Bayview Academy in 1952.
Anne is survived by her two children: Stephen Gallotta and his wife Katharine of Suffolk, VA and Andrew Gallotta and his wife Elizabeth of Springfield, VA, and her four grandchildren Kate, Haskell, Timothy, and Caroline. She was the sister of the late Edward E. Magner III of Monterey, CA.
Services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, VA at 11:30 AM on 11 November 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to, King Street Cats, 25 Dove St., Alexandria, VA 22314. www.kingstreetcats.org

They broke the mold when they made Anne....what a delight....and I am richer for having met her and spent time with her. She was probably ready for a return to VA sooner than I would have liked but I"m still glad we moved here out of her home and in to assisted living in Bristol RI, her adopted home. This kept her coming in to Linden Place Museum every Sunday where she held court and chatted with everyone and anyone. She had the Irish gift of gab and she was so delighful. You'll never be forgotten, Anne...rest in peace.....Love, your many fans in Bristol, Rhode Island..JIm Connell
