Anthony Scudieri Obituary

SCUDIERI, ANTHONY J., 92, of West Hill Drive, Cranston, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Rose D. (Valentino) Scudieri.

Born in Tormeggiore Foggia, Italy, he was the son of the late Luigi and Marietta (Tocci) Scudieri. He was a WW-II Army Veteran.

Mr. Scudieri worked as a mixer at Uniroyal Manufacturing Company for 40 years until his retirement. He was a life member of VFW #2929, Past Commander of Post 172, and was All American Past State Commander Department of RI 1990-1991.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela G. Gaglione and her husband Anthony, Jr. of Cranston; a grandson Anthony Gaglione, III of Cranston; three sisters, Connie Ruggiero of Cranston, Dorothy Masciarotte of West Warwick, and Gloria Rossi of Cranston. He was the father of the late Louis A. Scudieri and brother of the late Ralph Scudieri, Mary DeRonde and Ellen Razzo.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 222 Richmond Street, Providence, RI 02903.
