Benjamin DiSano Obituary

DiSANO, BENJAMIN, of Topeka Street, Cranston passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Prata) DiSano.

He was born in Providence the son of the late Raffaele and Teresina (Pitochelli) DiSano. Mr. DiSano was a Ret. Cranston Police Detective serving with their department for 22 years where he received 4 citations for outstanding service beyond the call of duty. He was employed at Colonial Knife in Providence from 1944-1956, RIPTA Bus as the Head of Security from 1978-1990 and Cranston Print Works in Security from 1990-1998. He was a WW II Army veteran serving in Korea with the military police.

He is survived by his loving son Joseph DiSano of West Warwick, his devoted brother John DiSano of Exeter, his cherished grandchildren, Michael, Vincent and Kristen. Mr. DiSano was the companion of Theresia Baron of Coventry. He was the loving father of the late Ralph DiSano, the brother of the late Philip, Ernest and Ralph DiSano, Elvira Schimmel, Margaret Messier, Anna Scott and Rose Burt. He was the cherished grandfather of the late Jennifer DiSano.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
