Christine Montanaro

MONTANARO, CHRISTINE 'TINA' (ROTONDO), 79, of Toll Gate Road, Warwick, died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Hopkins Manor, North Providence. She was the wife of Joseph Montanaro. They were married for 61 years.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Livia (Constantino) Rotondo. Mrs. Montanaro was a Licensed Practical Nurse working for various hospitals and the former Institute of Mental Health, Cranston for over 30 years, before retiring in 1988. She was a graduate of the former Rhode Island School of Nursing, Class of 1958. She resided at her present address for the past 26 years.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children John F. Montanaro and Sandra A. Riddle, both of Cranston. Mrs. Montanaro was the grandmother of five and the great-grandmother of seven. She was the sister of Imaculatta Oneppo, of New Haven, CT, Gennaro Rotondo, of Warwick and Angela Macomber, of Wakefield, and the late Mary Rotondo, Nicoletta Petrucci, Peter, Arthur, Guido, and Vincent Rotondo.

Her funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements by the Nardolillo Funeral Home.
