David G. Doran, Jr., age 94, of Warwick, passed away January 22, 2021, at R.I. Hospital, Providence. Born in Providence on May 17, 1926, Mr. Doran was the son to the late David, Sr. and Mary (Deignan) Doran.
Mr. Doran attended local schools and after graduating, Mr. Doran went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, Mr. Doran went to work for Narragansett Electric Co. for more than 45 years, until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Doran was a member of Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
Other than his parents, Mr. Doran was predeceased by a sister, Mary Veronica Parkinson.
Mr. Doran is survived by two cousins, Dr. Joseph E. Earley, of Falls Church VA, and Maureen Brousseau and her husband Paul, of Warwick, with whom Mr. Doran resided.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. COVID-19 guidelines will be observed.
