DAVID DORR Obituary
He was the beloved husband of Eileen L. (Zubrisky) Dorr and a son of the late Earl L. and Ruth (Grimley) Dorr. Mr. Dorr was a World War II Navy veteran and served in the Pacific Theater on the USS New Jersey and was a member of the American Legion, the Telephone Pioneers and was a founding member of the Warwick Lodge of Elks.
Besides his wife he is survived by four children, David G., Kevin T., and Lawrence F. Dorr and Kathryn L. Tashian and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Phillip, Earl, William, Morrill and George Dorr.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 am. Burial with military honors will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Cornerstone Adult Services, 140 Warwick Neck Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889 or Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914 will be appreciated.
