David Kenney Obituary

KENNEY, DAVID FRANCIS, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence, RI. He was 77. Born in St. Paul, MN on November 18, 1928, he was a son of the late Daniel F. and Jane (Cassidy) Kenney. He lived in Lafayette Hill, PA before moving to Rhode Island in 2003. Mr. Kenney served in the US Army of Occupation in Japan and later graduated from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He retired as a paper and packaging sales representative in the Philadelphia area in 2000. David was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA.

Surviving are his six children: Jane Kenney Austin of Warwick, RI, Mary Jo Kenney of King of Prussia, PA, Nancy Kenney Hays of Cambridge, MA; David J. Kenney of Oaks, PA, Gregory D. Kenney of Williston Park, NY, and Terese Boegly of Audubon, PA; 13 grandchildren; and former wife Geraldine A. (Danisch) Kenney of Collegeville, PA. He was the brother of the late Mary Patricia Kenney of St. Paul, MN and is survived by five brothers: John Kenney, Robert Kenney, Timothy Kenney and James Kenney of St. Paul, MN, and Thomas Kenney of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr.John T. Conway, Pastor.

Burial was private in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merior Twp., PA. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to Cornerstone Adult Services, Alzeheimer's Care Unit, 140 Warwick Neck Ave., Warwick, RI 02889.

Arrangements are by The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.
