REGINE, DOLORES L. (VENTO)
85, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. She was the beloved companion of Donald DiOrio for 17 years and beloved wife of the late Michael Regine for 53 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Oresto and Maria (SantaLucia) Vento. Mrs. Regine was a teacher's assistant and school bus monitor for the Providence School Department for 20 years before retiring. Dolores was a manager for the first CVS store in Providence, and a dental assistant for many years before retiring. After retiring, Dolores was a volunteer for the Johnston Senior Center. She was a professional singer and loved to dance. Besides her companion Donald, she is survived by her loving son Michael Regine and his wife Roseann of Johnston. Dolores was the cherished grandmother of Alexis Hopkins and her husband George, Kaitlyn Braga and her husband Robert Sr., Amanda Almonte, and Brianna Almonte, and the great-grandmother of Ava Hopkins, Natalie Hopkins, and Robert Braga Jr. She was the sister of the late Armand, Vincent, Italo "Billy", and Oswald "Ozzie" Vento, and Anna Valenti. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 30th, at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Providence.
