Edward Moura Obituary

MOURA, EDWARD T., JR. 69, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on November 4th. He had been the beloved husband and best friend of Deborah L. (Lennon) Moura for 43 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward T. Moura and Helen (O'Toole) Pello; stepson of the late Albert Pello; devoted father of Timothy M. Moura and wife Kerri, Tracey J. Petrin and husband Jonathan; cherished grandfather of Jared, Cameron, Collin, and Taylor Moura; and brother of Barbara Bamford and Paul Moura. Ed spent the majority of his career working as a manager at RI Tile Distributors in Cranston, retiring after 25 years at age 62. More than anything, Ed loved his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends, dancing, relaxing on the beach, riding his Harley Davidson and visiting casinos. He loved a good time and his endless wit and vibrant personality always ensured good times for all. He cherished his four grandchildren and spent countless hours with them. He could always be found alongside a field, court, or rink cheering for them and supporting them with endless encouragement and praise. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m. Funeral services Friday at 9 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 45 Gay St., Providence, RI 02905. pontarellimarinofunerals.com

Debbie, Tracey, Tim & Kerri,

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I hope this passage helps you as much as it helped me.

A limb has fallen from the family tree, I keep hearing a voice that says, grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I am counting on you. Keep smiling and surely and the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest, remembering how I truly was blessed. Continue tradition no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we are together again.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Love, Barbara Nastari
