Elena DiPaolo Obituary

DiPAOLO, ELENA V. (DeCESARE), of North Quidnessett Road, and formerly of Academy Ave., Providence, died Friday at Scalabrini Villa. She was the wife of the late Anthony Grossi and Emilio DiPaolo.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Bartelemeo and Maria (Peterella) DeCesare.

Mrs. DiPaolo worked at the Providence Water Supply Board for 15 years. She was a member of Local 1033 and a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Ann Church, Providence.

She leaves here two sons, Anthony Grossi of Warwick and Emilio J. 'Mel' DiPaolo of Scituate, a brother, Dr. Ronald DeCesare of East Greenwich and 5 granddaughters.

She was the sister of the late Anaclete and Henry DeCesare, Jessie Palmieri, Hilda Colucci and Clara Datson.

Funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Hawkins St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
