Ellen M. Gange

GANGE, ELLEN M.
88, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of George W. "Joe" Gange for the past 65 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Ellen B. (Hanley) Dwyer.
Ellen was the office manager for Erickson Oil Company for 38 years before retiring in 1993. She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family and others, volunteering for many years at the Gerry Lewis Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy. She also volunteered at the former Cranston General Hospital, Kent County Hospital, Meals on Wheels, RI Food Bank and the Pilgrim Senior Center.
Besides her husband, she leaves two grandchildren, Ellen-Bridget Keene and Jay Keene. She was the mother of the late Ellen M. Packer-Johnston (Ret WPD) and sister of the late John J. Dwyer, Edwin Dwyer, Frank R. Dwyer, Thomas D. Dwyer, William H. Dwyer, Johanna E. Dwyer, Ann D. Wildinhair, Mary M. Kelly, and Margaret A. Dwyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, at 11:00 am, in Saint Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick, RI 02886, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Clement Church in her memory would be appreciated. Arrangements by Russell J. Boyle & Son.
