Fernanda Oliveira Obituary

OLIVEIRA, FERNANDA (PAIVA), 79, of Roosevelt Ave., formerly of Bristol, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Haven Heath Care Center. She was the wife of Francisco 'Frank' Oliveira.

Born in Bristol, on Aug. 1, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Lucinda Martins (Costa) Paiva.

Mrs. Oliveira worked for 25 years at the former New York Lace Company and for nearly 10 years at the former Cherry & Webb. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of St. Elizabeth's Church, Bristol.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her son, Frank Oliveira, Jr. of Pawtucket; her grandchildren, Jennifer Jerome and Stephen Oliveira; her great-grandson, Benjamin Cole Jerome; a brother, Ray Paiva of Rumford and a sister, Carmella Dailey of Warren. She was the sister of the late Olga Perry and Lillian Zompa.

Her funeral will be Saturday, January 6, at 8:00 a.m. from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held Friday 4-6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
