George Hayek Obituary
82, of Village Green Circle, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
He was husband of Cheryl A. (Golomb) Hayek. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George B. Hayek and Mary D. (Harris) Hayek. He resided in North Kingstown before moving to Coventry in 2016.
Dr. George B. Hayek earned his under graduate degree in Chemistry from Wayne State University. Later he graduated from the University of Detroit School of Dental Medicine in 1960. He opened his dental office in 1961 in the City of Warwick where he practiced dentistry until the age of 77.
He was a life time member of the RI and Kent County Dental Society, His hobbies included fishing, cooking and an avid reader of history.
He was a past president and life member of the Narragansett Salt water fishing club and a parishioner of St. Francis church. He also served as a co chairman to the RI chapter of St. Jude's Hospital.
He is survived by his sons George B. Hayek III and his wife, Susan, and Dr. Gabriel M. Hayek and his wife, Lee. He had five grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Gabriel , Nathan, and Alexander and three great grandchildren, Aria, Olivia, and Adeline. He has three surviving siblings, Michael A. Hayek, Patricia A. Abdo and Sandra Salloum.
His funeral and interment will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital. For Information and condolences please visit: Pratagallogly.com

My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of Dr George. I didn't know him long but he seems like a very sweet and kind man. He was my neighbor at Village Green.
