My grandfather was an amazing man. Larger than life many times to a little girl and even a grown woman...I have a lifetime of stories that I will hold in my heart forever. A gift he gave me that I will cherish. He always had time to talk, listen and advise me on any subject from politics, business, family, travel. He always made me feel better, had a postive slant on events in my life, gave me a laugh, and told me that I could do anything. He was so proud of all of us. I will miss our long talks the most, but I always knew how lucky I was that we had those talks as long as we did. He was my special cheerleader. He loved life, taught us how to seize the day,and enjoyed everything and everyone that came his way. See you again Gramp...talk to you soon!

My Uncle was a builder,
a builder of life;
of family;
of friends;
of community.
He constructed strength
and determination,
and a persistence of vision.
He stacked faith on top of hope,
on top of wisdom,
on top of dreams
and imagination.
He now has placed his last block,
and has entered a place
where we call Heaven,
where he has become legend,
a legend of legends.

I have only fond memories of working with Gino for many years in his capacity as a Trustee of the Laborers' Funds. He was always a gentleman who took his responsibilities to the Funds and their participants seriously. His efforts, along with those of his fellow Union and Employer Trustees, have benefitted many thousands of workers and families over the years. He will be missed.
