Helen Waterman Obituary

WATERMAN, HELEN (BROWN), 83, of Johnston died peacefully Wednesday June 20, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late James H. Waterman. Born in North Scituate, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd R. and Anna J. (Elwell) Brown.

She was a homemaker and loving Mother, Nana, Grand Nana, and friend to many. She was a member of the Greenville Baptist Church, the Red Hat Dolls of the Red Hat Society, and the Lillian Feinstein Sr. Center of Providence. She enjoyed making and displaying braided rugs, taught rug braiding and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by one son, James H. Waterman, Jr. and wife Victoria of North Smithfield, three daughters, Carol A. Ferreira and husband Alfred of Johnston, Patricia J. Burrows and husband David of Smithfield, and Cynthia R. DiCicco and husband Robert of Johnston. She was grandmother of Kristin Albertella and husband Matthew; Scott Van Orden and wife Yokasta; David Burrows and fiance Alison Svitil; Marc Waterman and wife Shayna; Kelly Burrows and fiance Robert Williamson; Lauren Waterman, Brian Burrows and Bobby DiCicco. She was the Great Nana of Victoria Albertella, Andres Van Orden, and Ava Waterman. She was the sister of the late Lester Brown and the beloved sister-in-law of Doris Waterman.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10 AM in The TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rte.44) Greenville. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Suite 108, Providence, RI 02903 or The Greenville Baptist Church, 582 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828 would be appreciated.
