JAMES MOAN Obituary

MOAN, JAMES F., JR., 57, of Mercer Street, East Providence, died unexpectedly on March 29, 2010. He was the former husband of Mary Ann Kennedy of North Providence.

Born in Cranston, a son of Beverly J. (Johnson) Moan of East Providence and the late James F. Moan Sr., he was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Mr. Moan was a bus driver for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for 10 years.

James was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1970 and attended Roger Williams College.

A New England sports enthusiast, Jim was an avid slow-pitch softball pitcher.

Besides his mother and former wife, he is survived by two sons; Justin M. Moan of Providence and James F. Moan III of East Providence, a daughter; Megan L. Liberty of Spring Hill, FL, a brother; Michael T. Moan of Providence and two grandchildren; Brenden M. Moan and Evan P. Liberty.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Thursday April 1, 2010 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNER AL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with calling hours from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 5 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
