I have known Jim for as long as I have lived in East Greenwich but wthin the past four years, got to know him as a person and not simply someone I would say hello to when he walked past me at the coffee shop or some other place in town. He was always polite and when we had the chance to talk to one another, terribly interesting. His stories always had a mystical touch. He knew so much about many of the people in town and the history of places and customs. I will certainly miss Jim.

To Jim's Family:
My sadness at his passing and my condolences. He invited me into the armory, gave a great tour, and always enjoyed seeing him in parades, marching along with us, the Pawtuxet Rangers.
