John Gustafson Obituary
88, passed away on Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Margaret J. (Hastings) Gustafson. Father of Jack Gustafson (wife Janice), Jane Bennett (companion Steven Nadeau) and Joyce E. Smith (husband Rick). Grandfather of Meghan & Derek Gustafson; Zachary & Andrew Bennett and the late Christopher Bennett; Abigail & Alexander Smith. Brother of Elaine Phillips. Godfather of Nancy Teolis. Father-in-law of the late Barry Bennett.
Retired Vice President & General Manager of Mossberg Industries, John was a member of the former Meshanticut Park Community Baptist Church, Cranston and VASA Order of America.
Funeral service Tuesday at 10 AM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours prior to the service Tuesday from 9-10 AM. Burial with military honors in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

My condolences to Margaret and children. John was a good neighbor and even better friend. I know he took such great pride in the yard so when he asked me to take over cutting the lawn I took it as a privilege. Always had a smile on his face and a friendly word. If there's anything you need Margaret please call me. I'm only a few houses away. God Bless, Anthony Palumbo, dad Tony and mom Evelyn.
