So many nice thoughts of what a good man, my cousin, Jack (John) was to all. He laughed at my Southern accent, and I, at his Yankee one. In their kitchen, was this Irish Blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. God speed Jackie. I love you Uncle John!

John was my little cousin Jackie to me and my sister Joyce and brother David. We haven't seen each other in decades upon decades, but throughout I've always known he was the apple of Uncle John and Aunt Marguerite's eyes and a real star in the eyes of my Dad, his Uncle Jack. Sadly, I remember accidentally breaking one of your Christmas presents during my trip with dad up to Providence for Christmas, a car console when you were about around 4 and me 11. I've always remembered that!!

We watched you grow up and achieve your dreams of fighting fires like your Dad before you and making sure folks were safe, pursuing your life while always looking out for your folks at the same time. I only wish you had the gift of life a lot longer, but I'm going to assume you were greeted with a big reunion with your mom and all the Holdens and Soito's who have traveled before you. Til we meet again, Jackie......

Uncle John, my heart and prayers are with you!!

Love and hugs,

Julia

I'm at a loss for words. 24yrs ago I started working as a dispatcher, my life changed from that day on! i couldnt ask for a better partner and friend. We grow close over the years. We shared lots of heartaches and much joy together. You taught me the easiest way to remember were all my apparatus was during a CODE RED! my peice of paper with the 4 boxes. I still use it today even with the computers in our office.
We made a promise to each other. We was suppose to run off to Montana! It was the perfect marriage, we laughed and joked about how it would happen... I will make that trip for us and I will tell you all about it.

Love you John.. I will truely miss you!
