My memory of Jon dates back to my freshman year at Dartmouth. Freshmen were not allowed into fraternities so I would sneak into the window to dance with him. I will always remember his lovely smile, his sparkling blue eyes and his exuberance. My blessings to those he left behind. Christine Blanchet, Class of 1992, Dartmouth

I am so sad to hear of Jon's passing. He was a dear friend of mine at Dartmouth. I remember our many ski trips, wacky dances, and psychology experiments together.
A brilliant, buoyant and bold person, John was always up for an adventure. Jon was also a loyal friend and good listener. I will remember his joyful smile, spontaneous nature, and boyish charm always.
My thoughts are with all of those who loved Jon. The world was a better place with him in it.

Perplex'd in the extreme
Night falls too fast
His failing light confounds us all.
As an infant even, Jon lit us up. I see him in footie pajamas, in The Lodge in Huron City, dashing from one to another aunt and cousin to kiss us all goodnight; that grin, that golden joy. The rest of the evening was dimmer, for his going off to sleep.
An afternoon in Marion became brighter, for sharing a simple lunch with Jon. Those eyes held me, assuring that all his attention was with me. Was there not enough light that could come back to him, to match his, to sustain him?
That golden loving boy, that loving man.
Peace and gentleness forever to Ella and Salter, Margot, Robin, Betsy and Chuck.
I am Jon's father's close cousin, and hope for everyone's understanding.

Jon was in my dormitory at Dartmouth and one of the first people I met. We gave each other career advice while he lived in NYC and frequently pondered the meaning of "life." I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. He left behind many memories of joy.

Jon and I became friends at Dartmouth and I last saw him at a reunion there dancing with his young child in arms. I have thought often of that sight as I raise my own 2 young sons. I will miss you, buddy.

Jon was one of the first friends I made at college. He was kind, outgoing, caring, fun, and very bright. He was a joy to know. He will be greatly missed as he brought great enthusiasm to everything that he did. He helped me make friends, he helped me have fun, and he even helped me with my math homework. He was a great guy!

I baby sat for Jon as a young boy. He was such a loving and smart kid. I left New England after college and moved to San Diego. I had hoped one day we might speak given my role in Investor Relations for the technology firm I have been with for ten years. Sadly, we never did talk. My thoughts go out to his two children, Margot and Robin.

I am a childhood friend of Jon's and I am very sad to hear this news.Jon was ALWAYS silly, laughing and ready for action in the nieghborhood.Although most of my time I really knew Jon,was when we were in elementary school, those days have a lasting impression on me as fun, free, lazy days- times when kids bonded to each other because we seemed to have TIME.
My deepest condolences go to everyone in jon's family and especially his children-may the universe be gentle with them and bring them understanding & love**
