To the entire family, may I say God bless you all. God did bless you with His gift of Papa Joe to this world. He was a true gentleman. He was all class, wise, generous and loving. He had a great sense of humor and a true love of life and all God's creatures. We would watch the nature shows on tv together at night. He was amazed at the diversity of the world's animals and plants and the power of nature. I would often stare at him passionately enjoying the wonders of nature. " Can you believe that?" he would often say. We would laugh together. I always felt I was in the company of greatness. The power of his spirit filled the room. Though I am sad he has left us for now, what a great life he lived. They say time is luck. One of the luckiest moments in my life was when I began my brief relationship with my true friend Papa Joe. Another day, Papa Joe. How they go by! Love, Chris Lynch

Celona family,
I enjoyed our Saturdays Joe and I shared. I loved his stories from the 1st or the 100th time hearing them. He would call me Maria. We would laugh and say I'm an Irish Maria. I did not correct him in his eyes there is only 1 Joanie. We would take our walks in the house and stop and talk about most of the pictures. He always talked about his children and their families. He's a proud man.
Thank-you for allowing me to be with Joe.

To my cousins, Nina, Mary, Tommy and Joanie, your children and grandchildren: Uncle Joe was the epitome of how to lead by example: authentic, hard-working, caring, connected, active, clever in business, undaunted, sincere, strong, mentally sharp and loving. There will never be another one! I know his adages will echo in our hearts and minds forever. He provided the moral compass that, if followed, puts us ALL in the right direction. Much love from Cuenca, Ecuador.

Being neighbors of Joe for 49 years was such a privilege for my family. He and his wife Lee set such a great example of what a family should be. He was a kind, gentle, intelligent man that always had the right things to say. Very encouraging, friendly and positive. I admired the way he lived and his presence on Birchwood Drive will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his whole family who I know have wonderful memories and are proud of him for who he was. Shirley Toppazzini
