Joseph Gemma Obituary

GEMMA, JOSEPH E., 79, former owner of Gemma's Auto Body and a WWII and Korean War veteran died March 13, 2008 at home. He was the beloved husband of Anita F. (Power) Gemma and a son of the late Angelo and Filomena (Pescosolido) Gemma.

He is also survived by two children, JoAnn Compagnone and Michael Gemma; stepson, Capt. Dan Stark (Ret.); brothers, Raymond Gemma and Warwick State Rep Al Gemma; sister, Anna Cappello; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Anthony E. Gemma. Mr. Gemma was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, at 9:30. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visiting hours, Sunday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the VA Medical Center, 850 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908 will be appreciated. Information, guestbook visit www.TheQuinnFuneralHome.com
