Josephine DiPietro Obituary

DiPIETRO, JOSEPHINE (GIAMMARCO), 90, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antonio DiPietro.

Born in Providence a daughter of the late Domenico and Lucia (Vittorio) Giammarco.

A homemaker, she was devoted to her family and friends. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

She was the loving aunt of Lucille Chandonnett of Warwick, who was her caretaker, aunt and great-aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Mary Rossi of Warwick, Virginia Zira of Scituate, and the late Mario Giammarco and Rosalie Civito.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in 'WOODLAWN' Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. VISITATION 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Entombment will follow in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Kindly omit flowers. WoodlawnGattone.com

Auntie Jo, you were a hot sketch of a woman. I have nothing but fond memories of you talking around the table at Auntie Lucy's house about nothing and everything. Just the same I enjoyed your conversation and hold you close to my heart.
