Joyce Mooney Obituary
72, of Shortway Drive, West Warwick passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Francis C. "Frank" Mooney.
She was born in Providence on July 20, 1944, a daughter of the late Henry and Theresa (Tilenda) Wolanski.
Joyce was a second and third grade teacher at the Greenwood Elementary School in Warwick for over 37 years before retiring in 2007.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Patrick F. Mooney and wife, Gayle of Harmony; two grandchildren, Olivia Marie and Dylan Mooney; a brother, Michael Wolanski of Cumberland; and a sister, Janice Wolanski-Lopez of Virginia.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Wawick with a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-7 pm. Information or to leave condolences, kindly visit
