Kathleen Maher Obituary
52, of Exeter, passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hospice In-Patient Center in Providence.on August 1, 2018. She was the wife of Francis T. "Frank" Maher. Jr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Theodore "Ted" and Barbara (Levesque) Sklarski. Kathy graduated from Saint Raphael High School and the University of Rhode Island and was a teacher at Nathanael Greene Elementary School for 28 years in the Pawtucket School system.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son Patrick L. Maher of Exeter and a brother David Sklarski of Narragansett, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Kevin Sklarski.
Funeral Saturday at 8:45 AM from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 3rd St., East Greenwich, R.I. Committal Prayers will be held at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI
Calling Hours Friday 4:00-8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Nathanael Greene Student Activity Fund, 285 Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket RI 02860

I just found this obit while researching my roots. I believe Kathy and Bill Maher are my second cousins. Mom passed and left pictures of her cousin Bill Maher her uncle. My great grandmother was Annie Maher Corcoran. I am so sad to find this obit. I was hoping to touch base regarding our mutual roots. My condolences to the family.

I wish I could be there to say goodbye. I remember the times you would sit with me at boy scouts and keep me company as we talked about anything and everything. You gave me so much advice that I will cherish always. You are such an amazing person and although I am heart broken I am glad you aren't sick anymore. I wish you the absolute best and I love you so much.
